every file I add to my mac shows in 'all my files'?

all files i add to my mac would show up in 'all my files'? I want to make sure if i deleted all my pdf's,music,pics.

"All my Files" is not a real folder, but a so-called Smart Folder, which is just a compilation of all files via search result, thus it is not advised to use "All my Files" as place to delete files from.
