After watching this video I’m blown away not really full titanium but
Mmm this is so dumb. Apple never said full titanium. So do you have one? After watching this video I’m blown away not really full titanium but
How did Apple deal with bonding the aluminum to the stainless steel in the past? It'd be nuts if it were completely Ti, not because of cost, but because Ti conducts heat poorly. With previous Pro models, only the outside band is steel. In mid-frame has always been Al.
They only explained it because they knew they’d be called out for it. If they could get away with it, they’d only say titanium and use lies-by-omission to make you think it was full titanium without straight up lying.Apple literally explained it in the presentation, particularly how they bonded the titanium outer frame to aluminum.
I guess the thread starter didnt think it worthwhile to watch the presentation or read any of the documentation before opening their big mouth.......Apple literally explained it in the presentation, particularly how they bonded the titanium outer frame to aluminum.
So you are a mind reader and know an entire corporations intent?????They only explained it because they knew they’d be called out for it. If they could get away with it, they’d only say titanium and use lies-by-omission to make you think it was full titanium without straight up lying.
Goodness. In the Wonderlust presentation, the material was stated to be "the same alloy used on spacecraft". "Alloy" meaning "a substance composed of two or more metals or of a metal and a nonmetal" (Merriam-Webster Dictionary). If it's an alloy, of course its not 100% Titanium. Someone didn't pay attention in chemistry class.
at this point i believe its more of a trolling rather then a genuine enquiry lol.If I was the OP I be would have deleted this post already 😂
I stopped watching these videos. It is almost pointless. IMOAfter watching this video I’m blown away not really full titanium but
Sorry many of us do not watch day one clickbait videos you feed to us. BTW of course it is not full titanium. After watching this video I’m blown away not really full titanium but
You express gross ignorance of metals usage in products. They only explained it because they knew they’d be called out for it. If they could get away with it, they’d only say titanium and use lies-by-omission to make you think it was full titanium without straight up lying.
lol not sure whether you were quite active in chemistry class either. An alloy is a homogeneous chemically combined mixture. The titanium frame is an alloy by itself(which is what Apple meant on stage). But the whole chassis with the aluminium and titanium components isn’t considered an alloy. Just welding aluminum and titanium or any two metals together physically doesn’t making it an alloy lolGoodness. A Stunning, Lightweight, and Durable Design
Available in 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch display sizes,2 iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max feature a strong and lightweight titanium design — a first for iPhone. This premium alloy — the same used in spacecraft — has one of the highest strength-to-weight ratios of any metal, making this Apple’s lightest Pro lineup ever. Both models feature a new refined brush texture, contoured edges, and the thinnest borders on iPhone. The Pro lineup is built to last, combining the strength of titanium with the toughest back glass in a smartphone and the industry-leading Ceramic Shield on the front. Using an industry-first thermo-mechanical process, the titanium bands encase a new substructure made from 100 percent recycled aluminum, bonding these two metals with incredible strength through solid-state diffusion. The aluminum frame helps with thermal dissipation and allows the back glass to be easily replaced. This new design highlights the Super Retina XDR display with Always-On and ProMotion technologies for an exceptional viewing experience.
