Did anyone else notice that everything is new with the iPhone 5? I can't think of an Apple product that's debuted with a new design to the device and all it's included accessories. The iPhone 5 itself, the Lightning cable, and the EarPods are all new. They aren't minor tweaks, each thing received what I would consider to be major overhauls.

I'm not suggesting anything other than I think this is the first time it's happened. I do sort of wonder if it helped their sales numbers, people tend to associate new with better. Obviously each iPhone release gets bigger year after year, but have we ever seen pre-order sales double?

Any thoughts on this?

Shhhh..the iphone 5 haters see the rounded corners and choose to believe everything is the same. Don't startle them!
