I reloaded Sequoia once before but thanks to my soon to be replaced monitor which went into a test mode and shutdown, something in the 5 years I have had this monitor it has never done. I was not able to see the Mac restart after it finished. I suspect that the reload was not completed in the first attempt. Knowing this about the monitor I made sure is stayed on and I was able to see the restart. Everything is now working as it should I still have a few apps that are not quite working right but that is not the Mac's fault. I ordered in a new Samsung 1TB external SSD which I am going to use as a Time Machine. This would not have been as easy if I had not had the iPad and iPhone which are all on the same account, actually everything in on the iPhone's account. How I love Apple's seamless integration between devices.
