Is anyone else having lagging issues lately? Several times a day i will be attempting to tap or scroll on my 15 pro max screen and it will be un responsive for up to 4 seconds. I’ve also found this happening with my 2024 iPad Pro and my Apple Watch 10 as well. Basically every Apple product I have that should be blisteringly fast, is a laggy pos right now. All devices have been rebooted numerous times and all apps up to date. I’ve heard other reports of this but not as much as I’d expect since it seems to be across all forms of Apple devices.

So anyway, hoping this gets some traction from others experiencing this issue and sure hoping 18.3 fixes it!

Yes! My 16 PM has been a laggy mess. 18.2.1 has helped a bit from 18.2, but it's still far from where it should be.

You’re not the only one experiencing choppy animation. It’s especially noticeable when I minimize things to the Dynamic Island. I’m hoping the 18.3 update will fix these issues.

I just played with an S25+ yesterday. YOWSERS that’s a fast little thing. And yes…it feels a lot less bulky than every iPhone Apple currently sells….except that one that nobody buys or should buy in 2025. It’s so friggin snappy. My iPhone 15 Pro LITTERALLY feels like an iPhone 6 comparing them side by side.

I wouldn’t go to the same lengths you did there, especially about the device itself - iPhone just looks and feels more premium to me. But I absolutely agree on the performance - iOS seems lagging behind lately with responsiveness and ProMotion is just needlessly compromised for marginal battery life gains.

60Hz devices feel ancient while ProMotion is good yet definitely not on the same level still as these flagship Android phones. Stuttering or scrolling jitters notably more common. Not what you would typically expect from an iPhone

Ok, I agree with the finish and premium feel. But this MIGHT be due to heft. BUT…On my iPhone 15 Pro I have a quite large panel gap on my front screen/frame joint. Most have been complaining about it being the rear glass/frame joint. It feels sort of like a knife edge running your finer over it. But I’ve learned to live with it. My rear is flush and smooth.

The only time I notice stuttering on my device is when closing an app that extends into the Dynamic Island. When swiping left or right, the app screen lags for a second, which makes me wish there were an option to disable the Dynamic Island entirely, as it is the only source of lag I experience. I notice this issue most frequently with the Music app.

It’s the inconsistency. For me it’s not one thing, but mostly transitions from one state to the next.

From lock screen to Home Screen, like it pauses halfway. The background appears fully, THEN it gets blurred. But the lag is very annoying.

That Dynamic Island lag you describe.

Opening some apps that’s running in the background but others not.

Sometimes the keyboard lags (mostly not). I punch the letters and it’s 3 keys behind and the sounds/haptics don’t match. I don’t know if they’re on time or not. Punch a letter, wait, letter appears, punch a letter, first haptic comes.

Some or MOST of the os is smooth.

So I can only speculate it’s a battery saving feature or throttling or the screen glitching from 60 to 120.

Weird. I don’t see anything like that personally. I’m not entirely satisfied with the overall implementation of scrolling, but the thing you described specifically seems to be just about as close to perfect as can be in my case - I can only really see some barely noticeable stutters if I force close music app before doing this
