Will this work with a Mac Pro 2010 running 10.8 ?

Short answer, NO.

Long answer, AFAIK yes, IF you upgrade your OS AND install + select the Nvidia web driver. But you will not get any boot screen (means can't use the boot manager, recovery partition, etc), unless you buy the Mac EFI card which I will consider not that cost effective on the 950.
