we do know o2 is offering a payg version, but hmmm maybe they'l be unlocked because the requirements also dont state an o2 wireless service whereas in the US it states AT&T wireless service

what i think is going on, is that apple has given o2 and cpwh the full selling rights for the iphone this being able to sell a payg vers. while increasing their profit margins. If apple were to sell the iphone in their stores, o2 would't get a penny on contract and on payg.

The bottom line is they will be making business from the sale of the iphone with regards to the payg vers. and thats why they wont be available at apple stores.
