I know it's just the speculation and supposed leaks,

but from the constant leaked photo stream to upcoming WWDC, it's likely that the leaked photos might be the real thing.

If that's the case, it seems like the new iphone will be a huge step backward in terms of the design!

What is up with the tacky 2 tone with cluttered bottom connector/speakers?

It's reminding me of the DS/3DS design progression. (DS(ugly) -> DS lite(good) -> DSi(better) -> 3DS(fugly))

Why? Why? Why??? :confused:
 
You're not the first to be upset over a leaked iPhone design. I bet those people own iPhones. ;)
 
Maybe, maybe not. But I doubt that the new iPhone will be talked about during WWDC. It probably won't be revealed until later this year. At WWDC, I'm sure they'll be talking about iOS 6 instead of the new iPhone.

Can we ALL agree that we rather see an iPhone 5 like this mockup from last year?
 
It's that huge amount of clutter at the bottom that has me thinking this leak is off. It could be a part from a knockoff, where Meizu/MiPhone/Airphone wanted to get a jump on what they thought would be Apple's design. Or at the very least, it's a Apple prototype that has many, many refinements ahead of it.

But "grossed out?" No. The design doesn't look slimy or smelly to me, so...

No, I'd rather buy a Blackberry than buy an iPhone that looked like that. It looks like a miniature iPad, and steep curvature makes it almost angular, and looks like it would feel awkward in my hand.

My point is, would you rather see the iPhone plank or this angular iPhone?

Besides, every damn iPhone there is, members on macrumors always bash it as hideous or ugly. I remember when the iPhone 4 was leaked. People were sounding like lynch mobs. Then once it got revealed at WWDC, people hopped on the Apple band wagon again. :rolleyes:

Only thing about the recent leak is that it looks like those chinese fakes. (especially the white version)

why dont you just wait until the thing is released before passing judgement. People were saying exactly the same types of things about the 4 and look what happened.

Apple will make you love it, guaranteed.

Agree. I really don't like the two materials for the back? Why not make it all metal?

I personally don't mind the design. I think it is a step up. It's not as clean looking, but it's functionality should be better.

With sharp, tapered edges like that? No thanks. It looks like it'd be incredibly uncomfortable to hold and would certainly need a case if you wanted to watch something on it- instead how it could simply be leaned up against something now.

I can't wait to see all the massive complaint posts on Crackberry upon RIM's BB OS 10 device release. Cold beer to the side also.

Hasn't this been addressed ad nauseum in the past? There's a reason why the original iPhone and any of the iPads with cellular connectivity are not all metal and have at least a strip of plastic on the back--signal reception.

A sweet looking all metal back panel with awful reception--no thanks.

Personally, I like the 'rumored' new design as I'm a fan of the 4/4s flat style and figure this new design should be a bit less fragile than having an all glass rear panel. But, to each their own.

Why would this design gross you out when it looks exactly like the current design aside from the back panel and different holes in the bottom frame?

I'd day this mock up looks a 100 times better than this supposed new design. The new design looks ugly as frick. In fact this mock up makes the 4 and 4S look ugly in comparison. The more I look at the metal band and antenna seam on my iPhone 4, the more I hate it.

Seriously people are complaining about a cluttered bottom? How often do you look atthe bottom of your phone?
