Exact weight iPhone 5 sealed in original box

I'm assuming its so they can work out postage via its weight. Its unlikely anyone is going to really know the answer to your question OP for another few days.
 
Well I have preordered my iPhone 5 32GB black here in Belgium (very small country). And all the people who preordered at this shop can participate with a small contest. If you can guess how much 5 iPhones sealed in the box weights, they pay back your iPhone.

And since the 32GB version costs as little as 789€ (1035$) I'd like to take my chances in this mini contest.

There are never notes about doing your research on the web..
 
Since they did such little to change the iPhone, I'll bet they did nothing to change the packaging. Go weigh an iPhone 4 box and add that to the spec weight of the 5....swag y'all.

Well.. We'll see I guess, I'll let you all now in this topic if I won.


But I still have a pretty good feeling about this :).

It's a very small country and very few people are preordering in general here, and I'm not even talking about that shop. Most won't read the small text at the bottom of that confirmation email (with the link to the contest) because they're too lazy. The contest is only valid till the 21th. And most are not die hard Apple fans like me and aren't reading Apple news sites / forums :).

Ah, in this case it is 40 lbs. I got this information from a post it note in an elevator at Apple from a janitor there. Trust me, you'll win with this guess. They did say the iPhone was going to get heavier, and boy did they mean it... oh I am sorry, that was the weight of a giant GS3 :D:apple:

Nope, shipping weight will Likely say 3 pounds or something grossly exaggerated.

I thought it was before 21th CEST.
But since it's here now already saturday and it's still friday in the US that won't work I guess :)
 
Apple website says 112 grams, so add a little for packaging and multiply by the number of phones.
 
So... Now that the contest is over and the iPhone 5 has been launched in several countries.
Anyone who can tell me the exact weight of 1 box with everything in it (unopened)?
