I am looking for tape to cover the webcam. I prefer color in black and will not leave any mark even after a long time and peel it off will not break the coating of the screen of macbook pro.

any idea of exactly what brand or experience to share?

Unless your an FBI director, a high profile politician or Mark Zuckerberg, I wouldn't worry. If you are that paranoid, you will need to start muffling your microphone too.

Given that the Camera is behind the secure enclave, there's little risk of it being hacked. That's one of the benefits of the T2

Ouch, 13 dollars just for a tiny piece of tape

Yeah, silly cost, IMO (but you get 3 pieces!) For some, the peace of mind might be worth it. Anyway, it’s an option for those that want something like that. I’m not gonna judge. Hell, some people think I’m crazy for buying Apple products. The world is a crazy place.

Tiny piece of blue tape, the kind painters use to mask walls and such. No sticky residue. Big box hardware stores carry it for a couple of bucks.

Not going to get in the why you want/need to do that since it isn't my business. But black gaffers tape will probably be your best bet. It is commonly used in theater, photography and television production.

Unlike duct tape, it uses a synthetic adhesive that while having a good grip, also removes with little or no residue and generally will not damage surfaces when it is removed.

It comes in a wide variety of colors, including black.

Microphones. MacBook Pros from 2010 onwards have at least two, to assist with ambient noise cancellation. The Touch Bar models have 3.

And anyway: putting tape on your camera is equivalent putting your head in the sand, and ignoring the bigger problem: a hacker who has control of your laptop camera has compromised your whole system. And unless you're pornstar material, or regularly do some pretty embarrassing stuff in front of your computer, your face is far less interesting than the personal info, passwords and financial data you've stored and accessed on that compromised system.

OP should be actively guarding against root causes (malware), rather than worrying about applying near-literal bandaids to the problem.
