I just installed excel 2004 this weekend (along with the rest of the office package) and i have a problem!

you cannot select and cut(to move) non consecutive columns!
ex: select column A, B and D (comand select column D)
then select edit>cut (or command-x) and you get a dialouge that says you cannnot cut multiple selections?!!?!

i know i have done this in office v.X and didnt have any trouble. . . as far as i can remeber! im probably going to reinstall office X if this remains a problem. can anyone with office X confirm that this works (just to check my memory) ? i just cant believe that any cutting wouldnt work?!

I don’t think this worked before and it doesn’t work on the Windows machine I’m using right now with Excel 97.

In Excel v.X you cannot cut multiple selections either. However, you can copy and past multiple selections. Excel 2004 appears to let you copy the multiple selection but not paste it. Weird.
