Hi,

When I try a formula like =2ˆ3 in Excel 2011, it throws up an error. Excel 2011 doesn't accept ^ for the exponent????

It does for me.
=2^3

Cell returns 8

However when copy pasting your =2ˆ3 it returns an error. Are you using shift+6 :p

I figured it out

My keyboard was set to US-International. Setting it to US extended fixed it. Apparently the ^ is different in the two keyboard layouts.
