I'm having a problem with uploading/opening embedded objects in my excel workbook.

For example: I try to upload a PDF file and I get the error message saying "Cannot insert object". When I upload excel or word objects into the workbook, it works. This error only happens with PDF files.

The same thing happens when I try to open an embedded PDF file in the workbook. When I double-click the icon a messages appears saying "Cannot start the source application for this object. There may not be enough memory available." I am sure memory is not the case for this as excel has done this for a while? I always have to go onto a Windows computer and work with the file there by uploading PDFs but I want to stay working on my Mac.

On a side note, when I create a hyperlink in the workbook to refer to one of the tabs at the bottom, some tabs aren't working. I right click on the cell and click Hyperlink. It leads me to a pop-up window and I then choose the Document tab. I locate my worksheet in the workbook under Anchor and click on the desired cell reference, then OK. Everything is okay until I close the spreadsheet and when I re-open it, the hyperlink does not work anymore.

Any help is greatly appreciated.
