Hiya,

A couple of weeks ago I decided to clear my dock, because i don't like too many things on there, so as I rarely use excel I removed it from my dock.
Now i'm trying to access it and when I click on it from my finder it just comes up with this;

Then I tried to re-install it, but the cd wouldn't let me, saying that office was already on the computer.
So I really need to access it but can't! Please help!

Are you sure that the Excel dock icon is the only thing you got rid of? Do you have an Excel file? If so, what happens when you try to open it?

Which Excel version do you have/did you have installed? I'd try in sequence to:
1. repair permissions
2. Completely uninstall and then reinstall Excel

By the way, Excel on mac is always been prone to crash and sporadic errors. I thought it was Excel 2008 which particularly bad. I bought now Excel 2011. It's the same crap, unstable, it crashes with no reason, and many times per day, opening a few kb file, says "the file cannot be opened because there is not enough memory". I have an iMac 27", last generation, i5, with 8 Gb RAM...
