I have Office 2008 for mac. However, the macros will not work properly in a document I need to use. The document, I take it was created using a newer version of excel.

Problem I'm having with the updates is that they can't seem to find a suitable version of office on my hard drive. Can anyone please suggest a solution to fixing these macros?

Are these Visual Basic macros? If so, you'll need to use Office 2011 (which is at least $100) to run them.

Excel 2008 does not support Visual Basic macros. (Excel 2008 will run old Excel 4 XLM macros, but you can't edit them.)
