Excel spreadsheet on iphone

Can somebody advise me: I want to have the excel on my iphone for simple data collection and calculations that i can email and share with my work's windows. I dont mind getting numbers from apple but in that case I need to merge lots of data already collected on a window's excel.

If you have a mac you can open the excel document in Numbers, export to .xls and put it on your iPhone. The problem is how you'll get that back on to a Windows machine.

If i do so I think I will not be able to amend the .xls on the iphone but only to view it, i actually want to use it on the iphone
