Excel v.X opens up classic

I just noticed this when I tried running Excel for the first time in 3-4 months. First, the Excel icon in the MS Office folder looks a little distorted--it's the same OSX icon, just the quality of image is bad. Whenever I try launching Excel, classic tries to launch at the same time.

All the other Office apps work fine natively (Word, Entourage, PP). And I've never had or used Excel in OS 9.

Any suggestions on what could be causing this and how to fix it?

Mmmm, well, the obvious one would be to drag a new copy of Excel over from the install disc?

Uncheck Open in the Classic Environment
