I have a ministack that is connected to my 24" aluminum iMac (previously the Mini) and the other day I disconnected everything incl. power, and cleaned my iMac screen, dust etc. Since then I have noticed that my ministack fan is going almost all the time, though I haven't accessed the drive in it. And while my keyboard is connected to it as it my iPod/iPhone dock, nothing has docked since then and those were connected for the last 2 months and I didn't have this issue.

Any idea why my ministack fan is going so much now. I know it powers down when the iMac sleeps but I don't know if there is a way to get it to sleep when it is not being accessed. It is acting as a hub after all, but that is a function of the chipset and not the drive inside.
