My girlfriends iPhone 4 VZW has started giving her issues. There is one spot on the second row third icon from the left where if you hover your finger a few centimeters above the screen it acts like you are trying to swipe but then stop. Everywhere else the screen works fine.
In addition the issue always occurs on the home screen but doesn't always occur in some apps. I did some searches here and didn't see any threads on this (although I am pretty tired). I am assuming it's a hardware issue, but I thought I would ask in case anyone had a similar issue and was able to resolve it.
Device is backed up, but we have not done a Hard Reset or a software restore yet.
Any thoughts?
