I purchased this camera a few weeks ago, it is my first camcorder. purchased from Best Buy

Since it is my first, I am not sure how to know for sure if everything is functioning properly.

I am getting grainy footage in low light situations. I know this is an issue with budget camcorders but my footage often looks worse than what I see on Youtube filmed with this same camcorder. For all I know my sensors aren't performing correctly.

Another thing, is that when I am zoomed in and activate the "Powered Image Stabilization" I don't notice a difference in the image stability on the LCD screen. Will this only be noticed after the file is exported?

Ans the 3rd thing that has really been bothering me:

Looking at videos online of unpacking of this camcorder, all of the ones in the videos have these small info decals on the outside of the LCD, like you usually get on new electronics. They also have a cardboard tag attached to the camera. Mine had neither of these. All of the other accessories(cables, battery, remote) seemed to be in brand new packaging.

Should I be concerned that this camcorder was not brand new? Due to the missing stickers/tag that I see on the videos online.

Thanks
