exchange email reappears after deleting

Hi,
maybe someone can help me.
Using iOS5 with exchange- everything works fine..
But for the last month or so I have one email (deleted on the desktop) and it keeps reappearing in mail on my iphone.
Ive tried everything, making sure its deleted both places etc, and turned off and on exchange mail in settings.
Any ideas...what could be causing one msg from reappearing...
Note: reappears only in ios, never in outlook.
