exchange just band or whole watch if opened?

I ordered my watch with the elderberry sport loop for store pick up. Should have looked at the bands in store before I left but I didn't and I don't like it. Do I have to return the whole watch and pick up another whole watch with the color I want? Or will they just exchange the opened band?

Some say they’ve had them swapped. In the U.K. I asked once and they said I had to return the entire thing.

I'm pretty sure they'll let you swap out the band, assuming it's in good shape and you have the original packaging.

We ordered an 8 for my wife with a braided solo loop band and the band is too big. We're going to swing by our local Apple Store in the next few days to see if we can exchange the band.

I was able to swap my band last year with my Ti S7 in store

I haven’t even worn it….. opened it and it looks nothing like online, IMO…. after seeing it, I’d rather have blue!
