Exchange Macbook bought in another country?

In this weekend I'm going to recieve the old macbook from a friend who is comming from USA to Denmark (where I live). He bought it when it was'nt updated and have'nt got the time to wait a day for it... So here is my question:

Can I call Apple in Denmark and ask them to replace a US Macbook with the new one? Or won't they have anything to do with a macbook bought in another country? Do you have any experiences with that, or know what I can do?

I don't know what they'll do for you but it won't hurt to just call and ask...
