Ok, so I bought the 2016 MacBook Pro with Touchbar 15" it is still unopened does anybody know if I can return it at an Apple Store to swap it for the 2017 model? Thing is I did not buy it at Apple, its past the 14 days so I can't return it.

I am going towards a no its not possible but I'm curious and I don't want to feel like a dumbass going to an Apple Store to try and do this and they turn me down.

But if anybody has done it in the past etc... Thats why I'm asking

Thanks for any help!

I think you can probably get a fairly good trade-up deal, but I don't think you can get a moneyless swap.

If you didn't buy it from Apple then you can't return it to Apple. Your best bet is to contact the store where you brought it from and go from there. Otherwise as @casperes1996 said you'd be looking at trading it in. You can try taking it to Apple but don't expect a miracle, the 2017 has just come out and they want to sell them not exchange. Legally they'd have to send that 2016 to be sold as refurbished so they'd loose money. Or you could eBay it.

Or, ask yourself what the 2017 provides that the 2016 doesn't.
