Exchange support: 3G vs 2.0 software?

I have an original 8 GB iPhone and have not been able to access my work exchange email easily. Will the new software be enough to access it or is there something in the 3G phone's hardware that will be needed?

No, the new software will be enough. Your Exchange admins may have to make some changes their end.

That's the answer I was hoping for. For now, the speed and battery bump alone may not be enough to get me to upgrade... although I am a day 1 original iPhone user... wonder what the other early adopters will do.
