Exchange Watch (14 day window) - Cellular Service

Hopefully this has a quick answer - if I exchange an Apple Watch within the 14 day return window, but I've already setup cellular service on the original, do I need to go through that ordeal again with Verizon (and yes, it was an ordeal) for the new model, or will the LTE service transfer over in restoring from backup?

Thanks!

Can't speak to Verizon but here's how it works on T-Mobile:

When I set up cellular on the new watch, it opened a page from T-mobile giving me the option to transfer the existing service or establish new. I chose to transfer and it just worked. Note -- when I unpaired the old watch it notified me that this did not cancel the watch's cellular plan and I'd have to contact the carrier.

This has been handy when I switched back to my S4 to validate its battery life - I opened the Watch app on my phone and went to Cellular, then clicked on the (i) next to T-Mobile under Cellular Plan, then selected Remove T-Mobile Plan. Switched to the other watch, went to the same spot and added the existing T-Mobile plan. It was really simple to switch my back back and forth between watches quickly and without having to talk to T-Mobile.

Okay! I'll assume it's the same then. Technically I'm on the one-month free trial, so it wouldn't be the end of the world if it was cancelled, but... considering it took me over an hour to set up a promo that they are advertising, I'd prefer to not have to do it again.

When you reset your AW, choose the keep cellular plan. Then when you setup the new one it should recognize it and let you ‘Setup Cellular’... at least this is how TMO has worked for me. Super easy.
