Exchanged MBP but with iLife 11?

I bought my MBP a few months ago but it was replaced today. I had installed an SSD in the faulty computer. I am going to re-install my SSD from the original MBP, however the new unit came with ILife '11. After I put in the SSD with all my OS and DATA and Apps in the new machine, can I simply use the Application DVD that came with this new unit to update the Ilife 09 that I currently have on the SSD?
