Excited 2009 to 2010 firmware success :)

Refurbished 2009 8 core 2.26 arrived yesterday. Just did the firmware update to make it a 5,1. Gonna drop a pair of x5670's or higher in & enjoy the power & stability.

So looking forward to making music on this machine. Peace

For the 2009 model, get the x5690 straight away if possible (they are not that expensive now). It's not fun to upgrade those processors if they are not de-lidded. IMO, get the most out of it from a single upgrade is a better choice on this particular CPU upgrade.
