Exclude HDDs in iMovie '11?

I use a Mac Pro and store all my footage on an internal HDD and back them up with another internal HDD. iMovie lists the footage of both HDDs which is really annoying because of performance and duplicates in the events view. Is there any way to exclude a specific HDD in iMovie?
