I'm required to use Dantz's Retrospect backup software at work to back up my Mac, but the only apparent way to exclude directories with this software is to rename the directory to include a "•" character in it. Needless to say, this is a pain, particularly when it will involve renaming folders like "~/Music" to "~/Music•", presumably breaking iTunes, FrontRow etc in the process...

Some initial googling has turned up little useful advice on this - has anyone ever found a better way to deal with this situation?

(Yes, I do also use TimeMachine to backup _everything_ at home, but like I say, Retrospect is a requirement at work...)

Thanks.
