Whenever I search for ANYTHING in spotlight, i get around 69087908 various header and other similar types of files, severely reducing how useful it is. Is there any way I can leave these out of my search?

The indirect solution: In Spotlight Preferences, Privacy tab, drag the Developer folder in to the blocked list. That will probably catch most header files on your system.
