Is this anything new? It is labeled August 10th. I'm soooooooo hoping for a retina display!

As a side question, how the icons on the screen look so fugly compared to the current Touch?

Nope, that's new. The thing about the icons..it seems to be running a test version of the iOS firmware. It's not going to be like that when it launches.
