existing iphone 3 g users £49 for new iphone this summer?????

so this is what I've heard from an 02 source, can't confirm it for sure but I'll tell you what he said. Basically when the new iphone comes out this summer if you are more than half way through your 3g contract you can pay £49 "and" give them back the phone, you will then get the new iphone and a new 18 month contract will start!!

The details on this do sound "O2-ish".

I've had similar things happen before, but usually on those "one off" special circumstances, so maybe this will happen for those lucky enough to come under the special circumstances as opposed to everyone? Who knows.

I'm bookmarking this and we'll see how close you were come June! I for one hope you're right, but won't get my hopes up.
