Expanding 300 GB RAR files in External Driver

Hello everyone, I have a problem with expanding about 300 GB of compressed files. The HD where the compressed files reside is only 500 GB of capacity so I can't use the same HD to expand such a huge file. I choosed another HD before start to expand (I can copy files manually on this HD without problem just typing my admin password) but RAR Expander app tells me "You may not be authorized to save files in the destination folder". IS it there a way to make RAR Expander to copy the files in this HD? or maybe using another Expander App? I have checked the option "ignore ownership on this volume" from the Get Info window with no success.

It's a few $, and you can select exactly which files/folders you want to extract from the 300GB archive.

It seems Rar expander refuses to write on a diferent disk, i got it working cleaning the orginal disk and choosing the same location for expanded files. Thanx for the advice.
