I have downloaded the trial version of TextExpander (TE) and have just now started to play with it. It seems interesting and could be useful, but I am having a difficult time seeing how it can be $30 more useful than RapidoWrite(RW), which is free.
TE clearly has a nice layout and the ability to insert pictures and commands such as where the curser should go, but while cool, I just don't know how often those are critical tools for me. With that said, my normal inclination to go with the somewhat comparable freeware item is failing me and that sends up a red flag to me so I wanted to get some feedback on your experiences with 1) either of these items; 2) alternatives to these items.
