Experienced 'out of stock' in apple store?

The day after tomorrow I am going to an Apple Store by where I live (there are 3) to purchase a base 13" MBP. I am wondering if any of you have ever tried to buy a MB, MBP, or any other item from an Apple Store to find out that the item is out of stock? If it helps my chances, I plan on being at the store at 10 AM, when they open.
