I am about to buy an external for my MacBook and fell over the cheap Buffalo HDs. Do you have any experience with this type, good, bad?

I have 6 different brands of external hard drives, and like Buffalo the most. I have a 320GB firewire version, and there are 2 things I really like about it:

1.) It has 2 separate LEDs for power and activity, that are very easy to see from a distance.

2.) When the drive goes to sleep the LEDs turn off! The thing that annoys me most with all of my other drives is that when they go to sleep the lights on them pulse.

It's always best to read reviews from as many sources as possible, of course. I think some people complained about Buffalo drives failing prematurely on them. I've had mine for about 6 months, with no issues so far.
