Looking to get the best boot and day-to-day experience out of my 'new' Mac Pro 3,1, I've come across this PCIe SSD adaptor. It should get me higher SATA speeds than the built-in SATA ports.

I've never heard of SEDNA, though, and I'm not sure if there's some really obvious gotcha I'm missing here. Searching this forum didn't give me an answer.

Will this work as a boot drive? I'm not interested in any kind of RAID, and would likely use the second slot for a 2.5" HDD or something.
