I was about to download ClamXav, just to give it a little test drive because I am trying to be just a little bit more proactive about preventative Mac security even though the risk is quite minimal at best. I dumped Norton b/c as everyone has correctly noted, it is big, slow, and way overkill. So I was just wondering if anyone was in fact using ClamXav and if so whether you were pleased enough with how it runs to recommend it? Thanks.

Even though there are a small amount of "viruses" for OSX, ClamXav does not scan for them, only Windows viruses.

there are 2 trojans, 1 is ineffective and both require downloading manually, installing and authorizing with your admin paddword. no viruses, def not in the wild.

well, I think that about pretty much says it all. No download for me. Thanks all.
