I see that OWC offers build-to-order Mac Pros of various types. I would assume the price is going to be higher than if you assembled the pieces yourself, but if it's really a turnkey system it might not be so bad. I'm quite computer savvy, but have never paid a lot of attention to things like desktop video cards and Xeon CPUs, so I was considering this as a way to easily assemble a decent system. What do people think about the 5,1 offerings in particular? Are there any options that are particularly good or bad choices or values?

$1500 for a one similar to mine. which cost me about half that. $350 for the cMP 4,1 and another $400 for the parts. However, I did put a lot of time and effort into doing all the software and hardware upgrades. Unless I had a very specific use, I don't think I'd put much more money into one of these.
