I need an expert explaining to me when exactly a calendar alert is dismissed by icloud.

I have my calendar synched via icloud on all my devices. I have the feeling that some alerts, which have popped up on the lock screen of my iPhone or iPad are later not shown on my mac, while some are still shown.

Example: I wake up in the morning and have a few calendar reminders on my iPad lock screen. I unlock the iPad and check some sites on safari. I may or may not also check some calls on my iPhone. When I finally open my mac to start my working day. Sometimes the same alerts are shown sometimes they are not.

In fact while writing this text on os x I can see alerts starting to disappear after a while. I started writing this thread with 3 test alerts open, now only one is left open...

-> Is anyone expert enough to please explain to me when exactly alerts are still shown on my mac? I haven't be able to find a consistent pattern.

I appreciate your efforts!

PS.: I would prefer the alerts to always be shown on my mac. Even if they were shown to me before on iPhone or iPad lock screens. I know, this was the case in some previous version on os x. Seems like most users found it annoying having to see the same alerts on all devises. I however like to see them on all devices and when I finally sit down on my work device (Macbook pro) I then can dismiss the alerts once I've dealt with them.
