Export EDL from FCP to Avid MC...

Hi,

Any advice on EDL export settings in FCP for use in Avid Media Composer? Should the default settings just work? Never done this before and want to avoid making unnecessary mistakes.

Yes, depending which version of Avid you are using will depend on your workflow, a straight EDL from FCP will work.

Export that, bring it into Avid File Exchange, and then that will give you a clean and relaxed AFE which you can import into any Avid bin.
