Export Events in iPhoto

Hi all,

I am wondering how I can export my photos/events in iPhoto in the event structure they are in now to a external HDD.

At the moment I can only find exporting all the files into one folder (ick) or just backing up the iPhoto Library. The second option isn't really nice as I'd have to have iPhoto to view it again, plus the structure is gone and hidden in data files.

Any ideas?
