Hi all :)

So I have about 30GB of MP3s on my PC and in iTunes with lots of ratings and info and whatnot. It's taken me quite a while to get it all the way I like it...

I am trying to export it onto an external drive and then reimport it on my MBP and into iTunes. However, when I do that I lose all my ratings for the MP3s (which is bad because I have lots of playlists defined based on ratings).

Am I missing a step in this? I know there MUST be a way to do this but I can't seem to figure it out. Any help would be great!

Thanks! :)

All I did was copy the iTunes folder from Windows onto an external drive and then copy the contents back into the iTunes folder in OS X. Just be sure to copy over your iTunes database files over and it should all show up in iTunes as it was on the PC. I don't recall doing anything else when I transfered my music between Windows and OS X.

Well I dunno if that will work, since I have all the actual MP3s in a different folder, on a different hard drive :(
