Exporting iMove video

I imported a video from my iPhone onto my Mac, and imported it straight into iMove. I made all the changes I needed, but It will not let me save it! It is frustrating...any help?

1) Did you create a new movie inside iMovie project? http://support.apple.com/kb/PH14687
2) After you have the movie, you use the Share function to export it.

YOU don't save an iMovie Project. iMovie does, continually as you work on it.
