I'm having a problem converting a movie from iMovie into a Quicktime movie.
I have a movie which is in two sections saved in iMovie.

I've converted the first file OK into Quicktime but every time I try the second file it converts it but not of the same quality. The first Quicktime file is 192mb and the second file (and its roughly the same size) is 53.9mb when converted but both movie files are the same length.

I'm exporting as 'Web' and it taking about 130mins, the first half of the movie took 350mins to convert, but I'm sure I did that as 'web' as well?

Am I doing something wrong?

I'm guessing the Web setting is of variable quality depending on the content of the movie being exported. Try exporting with Expert settings and choosing your own settings with a constant bitrate. That should ensure more uniformity.

High quality is considered about 1800 kbps. Sounds like you're going for something mid-range? Try 1200 or 1000. Experiment on a short excerpt of your video to assess quality before you commit to a long encode.
