Hi! I've got a small question that I was hoping you could help me out with :)

I've got a 2015 Mac Book Pro (time-machined from an older 2009 Mac) which is packed with photos, some in old iPhoto libraries, some in Photos, some in Lightroom, some in Finder, etc. You get the point, the photo situation is kind of chaotic and I'd like to create some structure in it. I was planning to do this by exporting every photo on it to a an external hard drive, then formatting the Mac (there's nothing of importance on it) and then importing all photos again, this time in 1 program (most likely Photos).

I've asked for help on another forum, and they pointed me towards this website http://www.macworld.com/article/3164408/photography/how-to-find-all-photos-on-your-mac.html which proved most helpful in exporting every photo. However, I can't copy my collected photos onto my hard drive because my computer can't handle such a large request. I've tried rsync and Carbon Copy Cloner, but these programs don't see a Saved Search as a folder containing files so that won't help either. Is there anyone here who knows how to copy all photos and videos in my Saved Search to my external hard drive, or, alternatively, someone who knows another easy way to collect all photos on my hard drive?

Thanks a lot in advance!
