Exporting to H265 (HEVC) in Final Cut 10.4?

The only thing I was expecting in Final Cut 10.4 is the ability to export as H265 in the Master File menu... Whare is the option? The only way is exporting through Compressor or am I wrong?

It's not there by default.. You have to go to your share menu in FCPX, add destination, select compressor settings, and then add the Apple Devices 4k (HEVC) option that you want.

Can you only do it for Apple Devices right now? I see it as an option when I make a new setting for mp4 in Compressor but when I export it only seems to export the same type of file as H.264.

I just fresh installed everything on my iMac Pro. A full, fresh pristine from empty SSD install of MacOS, FCPX, and Compressor. While I can add the compressor HEVC setting to FCPX, it won't work. Says incompatible. However if I send the project to Compressor, I can use the 8-bit HEVC setting (hardware accelerated) as well as 10-bit.
