HI All,

My new job as Production Coordinator here in NY is going to expect me to able to export WMV files from Final Cut Pro for clients that are primarily windows based. Could someone PLEASE give me DETAILED instructions as to how they've been succesful with this in the past?

I am fairly green although I have a pretty thorough understanding of Final Cut Pro 6. I know some people suggested FlipForMac...how does it work? What steps should i take when exporting from FCP?

Thank you!

Only done it once (and it turned out that I could have exported as MP4 in that case anyway so was actually a waste of time) but used this method:

http://www.kenstone.net/fcp_homepage/creating_wmv_fcp_chee.html

Successfully and it is pretty much a step by step tutorial.

As the tutorial states another alternative is to buy flip4mac. They support all wmv codecs and even offer n-pass encoding and other advanced features.
( depending on which version you buy.. they have a nice little matrix laying that out on their site )

Another vote for flip4mac. You will need at least the Studio Pro version, as the lower versions don't really allow you to create custom presets (and the ones they give you are all but useless for pro work.)
