Exposé and keyboard illumination keys

I'm using a MacBook Pro, and I use the brightness and volume controls often. I use Exposé often. I don't use the keyboard illumination often.

Is there a way to make it such that I need not press the fn key to use F9 and F10 for Exposé as well as F1-F5 for brightness and volume controls?
